He has lost an eye through cancer but is very healthy and active especially considering his age. Razzy needs a forever home to live out the rest of his days in security and comfort to repay him for his loyalty and devotion to his previous owner. Razzy is an easy dog who asks for nothing but love and somewhere to call home. Razzy is available for a special price of $150.

Sookie	Name Breed Size Sex Age Pound No Date In	Sookie Maltese Small Male Approx 8yrs 309 21/6/08	Sookie is a delightful little boy who just loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He settled into his foster home without a problem and is very easy going. Sookie has cataracts in both eyes but still has enough vision to get by, however Sookie is also deaf. Despite this he is a very friendly and affectionate boy and he would make a great companion dog for an older couple or single person who is at home a lot. A generous volunteer has donated $50 to reduce the price of Sookie to just $100.

He does not like other dogs so needs to be the only dog in the household. He is friendly but aloof and enjoys pats and kind words. Ice needs a caring home where he can live out his twilight years. She is an inquisitive and energetic little girl looking for her forever home. Such an adorable puppy shouldn't have to wait long.

After a lot of work from kennel staff she is now a happy and friendly dog. Elaine is obviously very sensitive and will need special people who are attentive to her needs to take care of her. For this, however, Elaine will repay them with her undying love and gratitude.

With work from kennel staff and experienced volunteers he has been able to become the friendly dog he is now. Elroy needs an owner who understands his temperament and also how to train him. It is wonderful to see how he has improved since coming into the shelter. Elroy would be best suited to an active family with older children as he is very active himself and will need to be walked daily.

He loves getting out of his cage for a walk to the park where he is happy to watch the goings. Grange is a very strong dog and would need an owner used to large breeds who could continue his training and provide lots of exercise. He'd be a loyal companion and you'd always feel safe having Grange around.

When going for a walk she pulls you like pulling a sled. She will need proper training to get her out of this habit but otherwise she could make an ideal pet.

	Foster Dogs need new homes too! The following seven dogs have been in foster care for far too long. You might think that because dogs are in foster care they do not need a new home. While foster care is much preferred to staying at the pound, foster care is still only temporary and it is just as important that these dogs find a forever home as soon as possible. Staying in a foster care situation for too long can lead to different separation problems which should be avoided at all costs for the sake of the dog. For that reason foster carers should not keep a dog for too long if they don't intend keeping it permanently as it is unfair on the dog who will form an attachment with them which can only cause more distress for the dog when that attachment is broken.
Annabelle		Name Breed Size Sex Age Pound No Date In	Annabelle Terrier Small Female TBA 254 3/5/08	Who can look after Annabelle ? Annabelle is a cute little girl who came in with a very sore eye. We discovered, after specialist consultation, that Annabelle has a permanent condition of her eye where she does not produce tears. This creates the effect of sandpaper moving over her eyes each time she blinks. Her left eye is already permanently damaged but with use of a special eye ointment over 3 months her right eye should be repaired. She will require drops for the rest of her life which produce artificial tears but thankfully this is not an expensive treatment. Apart from her eye problem she is a delightful little dog who is very friendly and just loves the company of people.
Boyo		Name Breed Size Sex Age Pound No Date In	Boyo Staffy X Lab Large Male 2 years 29 20/7/07	Although Boyo is in foster care he still needs a forever home. His foster carers cannot keep him permanently. After so long in foster care Boyo must be the ideal family dog as all the work has been done for you by the foster carers. Boyo has a typical staffy personality - outgoing, playful and gets on well with other dogs. Boyo settled in really well with his foster family and Cody (Border Collie cross) loves him as if they had been together forever. They run around playing and especially love "tug of war". He walks well on a lead, is sociable with other dogs and is a keen car traveller! Boyo would make a great addition to any family.

He is easy to get out of his day run and has a lovely time out walking. Jack would be bested suited to a couple without children or another dog. He may take a short while to gain his confidence of you but once done he would be very loyal and loving.

Anyone who adopts Brock must provide him with proper training as he seems to have none at all in the past. Despite that he is lovely to walk. Brock is strong and silly because of the lack of training but once that is addressed he could be the perfect family dog. Loads of potential!
Toffee		Name Breed Size Sex Age Pound No Date In	Toffee Silky X Toy Female 8 yrs 360 27/2/08	Toffee is such a tiny thing you'd hardly know she was there. She is absolutely no trouble to have around. Toffee is lovely but she is definitely an indoor dog and should not be left alone for long hours. She would be best suited to an older person or couple who spend a lot of time at home. She would be a wonderful companion for them.

She is ready and willing when her volunteers come to walk her and she walks well on a lead. Her little 'hello' bark for other dogs she meets on her walks is very cute.

His body will grow into his l-o-n-g legs and we are sure he will be a gentle giant. Clarence is deaf so will need a special owner who is prepared to train him with visual signs. We know that Clarence will give back all his love and devotion in return.

He has a sweet and gentle nature but is also very strong. He would need someone with experience with strong dogs or who is also reasonably strong. Harrison is such a sweetie, you can't help but love him.

She is more than happy to spend time gazing into your eyes and even when walking she likes to look at you. She is only a small girl and would probably be best suited to someone who can spend most of their time with her so she could lavish them with affection. Honey is to be adopted by her foster carers.
